Today I’m sharing a card that combines two of my favourite things — vibrant watercolor backgrounds and layered die-cut dimension! This design features a rich 3-tone watercolor blend framed inside an elegant archway window scene for a card that feels warm, magical, and full of depth.

I absolutely love how the sunset-inspired colors glow behind the layered swing and floral details. The contrast between the bright watercolor background and the deep teal framing really helps draw the eye directly to the focal point while creating a cozy and inviting scene.

One of my favorite things about this design is how versatile these techniques are. You can easily switch up the colors, florals, or focal images to create cards for birthdays, encouragement, thank you cards, and so much more!

For this card, I focused on creating a smooth 3-tone watercolor blend that transitions beautifully across the background. Layering the archway dies on top instantly adds depth and creates the appearance of looking into a glowing little garden nook.

The detailed florals add softness and movement throughout the design while the swing scene gives the card a peaceful, storybook feel. Small embellishments and layered dimension help finish everything off and add even more visual interest.
