This interactive light-up window card is all about cozy charm, soft glow, and storytelling through design. I’ve created a dimensional cottage-style scene featuring three glowing windows, each illuminated using amazing lights from Pear Blossom Press 💡💖 The result is a warm, whimsical card that feels like it belongs right in a fairy tale village at dusk.

One of my favourite parts of this design is how the light moves through each window individually, creating little pockets of glow that guide your eye across the entire card front. It adds so much atmosphere and brings the scene to life in a way that flat designs just can’t capture. Paired with layered die-cuts, texture, and soft decorative accents, the final effect is both elegant and enchanting.

This project is also a great reminder of how approachable interactive cardmaking can be. Adding lights might seem intimidating at first, but once you see how easily they can be integrated into a design, it opens up a whole new world of creative possibilities. I’ll walk you through how I build up the layers, plan the window placements, and incorporate lighting so everything feels cohesive and intentional. Here's a quick picture of the back of this card - it looks crazy but once you see that all I do is poke some holes and stick down the wires, you'll see how easy it is!
