The Volcano: A Vibrant Purple Glow

My first project features the new Volcano Stencil. I wanted to create something ethereal, so I paired a vibrant, deep purple palette with pops of sunshine yellow. The arch -shaped frame creates a natural "window" effect, pulling the viewer right into the center of the scene.

By blending the purple inks from light to dark and using the stencil to define that radiant sunburst at the top, the card feels like looking out at an otherworldly, beautiful horizon. The final "Hello Beautiful Friend" sentiment ties it all together with a touch of elegance.

The Whale Flip: Sun-Kissed Waves

For my second card, I reached for the Whale Flip Stencil. This one is pure coastal magic! I used a warmer, softer color palette for the background (a lovely blush pink embossed cardstock) to contrast against the bright, saturated blues of the ocean scene.

The stencil makes watercoloring so approachable—it acts as your perfect guide, allowing you to focus on layering those gorgeous blue tones until you reach the perfect depth. Seeing that little whale tail peek out amidst the sun-kissed waves is the definition of a whimsical, happy scene!
