Frosty Poinsettias | SSS Monday & Wednesday Challenge

 Hello Crafters!

Okay, I just had to try using this card design I posted earlier this week with a frosty blue theme! It still fits the mood board over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and I'll also be entering it in the Anything Goes SSS Wednesday Challenge! I made it in the same way as the first card but moved things around a bit. I'm sure you'll be seeing more renditions of this one😉!

SSS Monday Challenge Mood Board
(as you can see the frosty blue poinsettias fit this board perfectly!)

So I actually made this card in the exact same way as my last card with this same design idea. To see more of an explanation of the steps please refer to that post linked HERE!

The greatest difference between this and the other card is that I used plain grey cardstock as my background panel. I dry embossed this with the SSS Filigree Snowflakes Embossing Folder and then added some ink on the edges and lightly over the embossed areas. I used Altenew inks in Icy Water and Winter Lake.

Another large difference is the colour of the poinsettias. I used Waffle Flower's Layered Poinsettia dies and cut them out in white cardstock. I then used a blending brush to add ink in Altenew Icy Water, Arctic Mountain and Desert Night.

Finally, I used a different set for the sentiment and did some heat embossing on vellum with SSS's Steel Navy EP. I stamped out the Merry Christmas from the Colorado Craft Company stamp set called Big & Bold Slimline Poinsettias. Then I finished this card off with AB Clear gems.

And that was how this came together. Stay tuned for more!! As always, all of the products used here have been listed below for your shopping convenience!!
